Muslim's Festivals
According to the Islamic tradition, there are two great festivals. Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha.

Eid-ul-Fitr  
  Eid-ul-Fitr also known as 'festival of fast breaking'. At the end of Ramadan the first day of Shawwal , Muslims throughout the world have a joyous three-day celebration called Eid-ul-Fitr. During the festival, Muslims exchange gifts and greeting their relatives as a mark of brotherhood.  

  All Muslims on this festival wear their best clothes and offer offer 'namaz' a prayer at masjids (mosque). After offering the prayers they exchange good wishes of the festival. They donate alms to the poor. Muslims also visit relatives or friend's homes and eat festive meals with special dishes.

         


Eid-ul-Adha
 Eid-ul-Adha also known as "festival of sacrifice". Eid-ul-Adha the greater eid is celebrated on the 10th day of the 12th and the last Islamic month of Dhul-Hijjah. The sacrifice of an animal, usually a lamb or a goat is very important part of Eid.


The act repeats what Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) did, and also shows Muslims' devotion to Allah.
